Sambodromo is the stadium for the Samba schools parades during Carnaval in Brazil. The Sambadromo generally consists of tiered spectator viewing areas surrounding a long alley for the schools to parade down.

The Samba schools promote the Brazilian–African dance form of Samba throughout the year. Several months before Carnival, they begin their preparations for the big parade.

The Samba schools mainly consist of volunteers from the local neighborhoods. Money is raised from the sales of their school’s tickets for the Samba Parade or by sponsorship.

We always highly recommend you purchase comprehensive travel insurance to travel light heart and protect yourself in case of travel delays, missed flights, illness, or any other unforeseeable situations during your travel.

Blocos, also known as Blocks, are the heart of Rio’s Carnival.
These blocks, or street parties represent the city’s diverse communities and their love for music and dance. They have unique rhythms and styles. Their parties are much more casual than the parades in the Sambadrome.
Blocos is a big part of the carnival, attracting locals and tourists with samba, costumes, and energy for many years. Every Block provides a special experience for anyone and everyone! They allow people to fully enjoy the real Brazilian carnival atmosphere.
