What are the Northern Lights
The natural phenomenon that are the Northern Lights, also known as Aurora Borealis, are an amazing site for anyone to see. These colorful viewings are a result of collisions between gaseous particles in the Earth's atmosphere with charged particles released from the sun's atmosphere (click here for more information).
As the natural event happens near the magnetic poles it is best seen near the North or South Pole. Especially in Finland during the winter months the light is a frequent visitor when there is a clear sky and there isn’t a lot of sunlight 🤩

Day 1:

Day 2:

Night train to Levi. Rest and enjoy the views along the way! 🚂

After dinner, we will go northern lights hunting! ✨ We are going on an adventure!

We advise scheduling your return flight for 15:00 or later to allow sufficient time in case of train delays, ensuring you do not miss your flight.

When buying a flight make sure to buy the best time range you can get.
In particular, when purchasing your flight return ticket, always consider any delays with train schedule from Levi back to Helsinki and the time needed to get from Helsinki train station to the airport (+ all check-in procedures) on the last day. Train timetable will be communicated directly via email ahead of time.

Chances are you can, January and February are a good season to see the Northern Lights! However, we can't be 100% sure that you will gaze upon them. So far, our groups have been able to see them without any problems.

Yes, of course! Everyone can join our trips.

If you’ve bought your ticket for you can cancel it and get a full refund until 15st of December 2024 by sending and email to info@yes-trips.com with “cancellation Finland trip” as object.
After the 1st of December cancellation with refund is not possible.
If you cannot attend the trip anymore after the 1st of December you can resell your ticket.
